Christmas Cookies

Here is our favorite recipe for Christmas Cookies. We not only use this recipe for our family during the holidays, we create a Christmas plate that includes several cakes, cookies and candy, and give as a gift to friends and neighbors. Everyone loves it!

I will post a picture of our Christmas cookies and how we decorate them sometime in December.

Ingrediences:
2 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup soft butter (margarine)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Put butter in bowl. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with mixer or wooden spoon until mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in your flour, salt, baking powder, blending until smooth. Chill dough 1 hour.

Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cookies are done when just starting to brown around the edges. Decorate with frosting, raisins, chocolate chips, marshmallows, nuts, etc.

Tips: The kids just love these Christmas cookies and we can never make enough!
